Essentially Coles
Direct Cremations in Cardiff & The Surrounding Areas
A Direct Cremation is a low-cost funeral option, keeping the final goodbye simple with an unattended cremation.
Direct Cremations are growing in popularity for our local community thanks to their affordability amid the cost of living crisis. They can also reduce emotional stress for those left behind who may not feel ready to grieve publicly or through a traditional funeral.
Our Direct Cremation services are delivered by our award-winning team with professionalism and respect that you know and can depend on. That’s Essentially Coles.
As the funeral is unattended, Direct Cremations are often followed by a wake or a Celebration of Life service, allowing you to celebrate life in a way that suits you and your loved ones. However you choose to say goodbye, please know that we’re with you every step of the way.

What our families say…
“My father-in-law’s wishes were for his cremation to go ahead without anyone attending, and for a celebration of his life to be held at his local Golf Club. Although it was difficult at first to not have a traditional funeral, his service was a joyful event where his family and friends toasted his memory and reminisced about his long and happy life. After this, a further service was held at the top of his favourite golf course where his ashes were scattered. His wife now also wants an unattended cremation and a celebration of life.”
