We’re proud to announce that our third funeral home is now officially open in Llandaff, welcoming West Cardiff to our Coles community.
Taking up residence at 98 Cardiff Road, we’re embracing the vast history of our new location which, in 1842, was owned by Monumental mason, William Clarke. Made famous in the Cardiff area for producing headstones and undertaking church restoration work, the business was renowned and celebrated for employing talented individuals. So, we’re pleased to be bringing the location back to its funeral roots with our personal, independent and visionary services with four new team members on board.
Plus, from a wider perspective, we’re proud to be in the town that was home to the much-loved Welsh author, Roald Dahl. What’s more, we’re just a short walk away from the sweet shop, Mrs Pratchett’s Sweet Shop, which featured in Roald Dahl’s Boy and several other famous locations. As a team and an independent Welsh business, we are excited to be operating amongst that heritage.
Speaking of the launch Gareth Coles said: “It’s an honour to be expanding our reach across Cardiff to support wider communities. Llandaff is steeped in Welsh history, and this move has been a long time coming. Not only will we be able to support the community as they say goodbye to their loved ones, but we’ll also be offering bereavement support and wider funeral planning services. As always, we’ll be with our community every step of the way.
“It’s been a challenging year unlike any other and while we will never forget this or those we’ve lost along the way; we are looking to the future with positivity.”
