It is my absolute pleasure to announce that James Rogers is a Good Funeral Awards 2017 Finalist in the category of Funeral Arranger of the Year. James has 15+ years’ experience in the funeral industry, and has been a Funeral Director for over a decade. He joined the Coles Funeral Directors team in 2015 and has become a firm favourite with our staff and customers alike thanks to his meticulous professionalism and his upbeat and friendly approach to his work.As such, Coles is supporting James through a Management & Team Leading Diploma, and some time ago we promoted him to Team Leader so that he can share his arranging expertise with the newer recruits in our team – Steven, Terry, Ian, and Alan.
I asked James earlier today what it means to be nominated for Funeral Arranger of the Year:
“Arranging a funeral is so much more than making sure everything runs smoothly on the day. It’s about offering unwavering support to families through the early stages of grief – and I get lots of feedback from the families I work with saying that myself and the rest of the team do a great job of that, which is always great to hear! And now to be nominated is just the icing on the cake. It’s a real honour to be a Funeral Director for this business which is going from strength to strength – and has given me the opportunity to be considered for Funeral Arranger of the Year.”
The Good Funeral Awards, dubbed ‘the Oscars of the UK funeral trade’, collates the general public’s views on the standards of customer service and offers nominations to the judges for verification before drawing up a list of finalists – on which James’ name appeared this year.
We wish James all the very best in his category – and whatever happens in September, we believe it’s a fantastic achievement to have been nominated and to have made the final cut . Well done James!
