If your family is anticipating the loss of a loved one, or has recently said goodbye, you might consider joining us at Cardiff Bereavement Services’ Open Day at Thornhill Crematorium on Saturday 15th July (10am – 2pm).The idea behind the Open Day is to help dispel any misgivings you may have about the cremation process, and features a ‘behind the scenes’ tour of the crematorium. There will also be a panel discussion amongst industry experts on ‘How we cope with Bereavement and Loss’, chaired by Father Lionel Fanthorpe.
Coles’ Director, Gareth Coles, has been invited to join the panel of industry experts for this discussion and he, along with the team, will be on hand throughout the day to discuss our services and how we can help you during your time of need. Gareth Coles explains why the day will be of particular interest for parents looking for ways to help children through the process of loss:
“We’re taking a leading part in this Open Day in Cardiff because we believe that, particularly for children, knowing a little bit about the process that takes place when somebody dies helps to dispel any fears about what happens to their loved ones in the run up to, during, and after the funeral. Talking about death can be particularly challenging for families, but events like this will hopefully encourage children to ask the questions that they may be afraid to ask, for fear of upsetting someone.”
The Coles Funeral Directors team will also be available to discuss our range of pre-need services, such as Pre-Paid Funeral Plans, Will Writing, and Estate Management – and look forward to seeing you on 15th July.
