Written by Director, Gareth Coles:
What a year for the Coles Team! It has been pretty non-stop as we launched our new Direct Cremation service in January, opened our new premises in Heath, and expanded our fleet with a striking Silver Hearse and Limousines. These landmark changes mean Coles Funeral Directors has been able to offer you even more funeral choice, and serve a wider cross section of the Cardiff community… and we will continue to do so in 2019!Throughout 2018, we continued to invest in staff training, won and were shortlisted for a number of accolades and awards, and featured in the media a few times too! We have also supported community events in Rumney, Heath, and throughout Cardiff; successfully raised funds for our Charity Partner, 2 Wish Upon A Star; and raised death & bereavement care awareness through campaigns such as #ThingsLeftUnsaidCardiff, Dying Matters, and the Global Wave of Light, among many others.
We have also added to our accreditations with the Fair Funerals Pledge, The Association of Green Funeral Directors, and SAIFCare – and the Good Funeral Guide also awarded it’s coveted approval for our new Heath funeral home as well!
On a more personal note, we added to our growing family with the arrival of Jasmine’s little sister, Sophia – and we welcomed my wife, Francesca, full time into the Coles business as Director of Communications.
It has been both an honour and a privilege to serve you this year – and we will of course be here for you should you need us at any point in 2019.
Like you, we’ve said goodbye to people we care about and we know that New Year’s celebrations aren’t for everyone. But we do hope you can take the time to reflect on happier times and remember your loved ones.
